About The Position
The IT Engineer will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of computer peripherals and desktop systems. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues encountered daily, including problems with computers, printers, scanners, monitors, conference and meeting equipment, and related office and design software. The IT Engineer will also manage and maintain database servers, prepare proposals for new network projects, submit orders, track project progress, and collaborate with suppliers/vendors. Additionally, this role involves developing information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions, coordinating IT-related equipment (hardware and software assets) for accurate record-keeping, tracking, utilization, and accountability, and administering security camera systems, including managing user access and permissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Conduct network equipment, internet, and Wi-Fi management and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and fix network issues, ensuring network uptime and security; maximize network performance.
- Replace, update and program network devices.
- Responsible for the daily operation of computer peripherals and desktop systems maintenance.
- Resolve hardware and software issues encountered daily, including problems with computers, printers, scanners, monitors, conference and meeting equipment, and related office and design software.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining database servers.
- Prepare proposals for new network projects, submit orders, track the progress of projects, and collaborate with suppliers/vendors on testing, acceptance, and delivery.
- Develop information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.
- Coordinate IT-related equipment, including both hardware and software assets, to maintain accurate records and ensure proper asset tracking, utilization, and accountability.
- Administer security camera systems, including managing user access and permissions.
