About The Position

7AI is hiring an IT Engineer to run IT operations end to end as the company grows. The role covers identity, endpoints, SaaS and business systems, and employee onboarding and offboarding. The IT Engineer will be the first technical point of contact for IT at 7AI and partner closely with the security team to keep the company productive and well governed. The position includes administering Okta and access provisioning across business applications, automating employee lifecycle processes, managing SaaS and business systems, and overseeing the Jamf-administered macOS fleet. The IT Engineer will maintain an accurate SaaS inventory, support licensing and renewals, assist with security initiatives, and respond to IT issues across the company while helping establish service levels and grow the IT function.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of IT engineering experience at a fast-growing technology company.
  • Deep Okta administration expertise, including SAML/OIDC, SCIM, lifecycle policies, and workflows.
  • Jamf Pro and macOS endpoint management fluency, with scripting experience in Python, Bash, or similar.
  • A track record of automating onboarding and offboarding and replacing manual access processes with code.
  • Hands-on experience administering a broad SaaS estate spanning engineering and business systems, such as Google Workspace, GitHub, 1Password, Salesforce, Zoom, and Slack.
  • Ability to support business-critical systems owned by other teams and work with Sales Ops, Finance, and People on configuration and access without needing to be the domain expert.
  • A calm, low-friction operator presence and ability to handle an incident, an executive IT request, and a fleet rollout in the same morning.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Okta for business applications, including SAML/OIDC, SCIM, lifecycle policies, and access provisioning across AWS, GitHub, Salesforce, and the broader SaaS estate.
  • Automate employee onboarding and offboarding end to end, replacing manual runbooks with code.
  • Administer SaaS and business systems, including Salesforce, Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace, covering configuration, integrations, user and license management, and support.
  • Manage the Jamf-administered macOS fleet, including default provisioning, software allowlisting, patching, and day-to-day endpoint operations.
  • Maintain an accurate SaaS inventory, integrate applications with SSO/SCIM, and remove unused accounts, licenses, and API tokens.
  • Partner with Finance and system owners on SaaS licensing, renewals, and rationalization.
  • Support the security team's phishing-awareness program, audit evidence collection, and corporate detection tuning.
  • Serve as the first responder for IT issues across the company, set SLAs, and grow the IT function as the company scales.
