About The Position

Afero is hiring an IT Engineer to administer and support its identity, collaboration, endpoint-management, SaaS, hardware, and office technology environments. The role includes managing user access and device compliance, supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, responding to IT incidents, maintaining documentation, and coordinating vendors and licenses. The position requires independent work in a small or mid-size company and clear communication with a team distributed across time zones, with occasional early-morning or evening availability.

Requirements

At least 4 years of IT experience, including hands-on administration of Okta, Jamf Pro, and Google Workspace.
Strong macOS support and management skills.
Experience working independently in a small or mid-size company.
Clear written communication with a team distributed across time zones.
Availability for occasional early-morning or evening work.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Windows, Intune, and Microsoft 365/Entra ID.
Office networking experience.
Scripting or API automation experience using Bash, Python, or similar.
Okta Certified Administrator or Jamf certifications.

Responsibilities

Administer Okta, including user lifecycle, group and application assignments, and SSO/SCIM integrations.
Administer Google Workspace.
Manage the Mac fleet with Jamf Pro and Apple Business Manager, including OS and patch compliance.
Administer SaaS platforms, including Atlassian Jira and Confluence, GitHub, and Slack.
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding.
Provide IT support and incident response.
Support periodic access reviews.
Procure, provision, inventory, and manage the lifecycle of hardware.
Support office technology, including conference room AV, printers, and physical access control.
Create and maintain documentation and runbooks.
Manage vendors and software licenses.
