About The Position

Javro is seeking an IT Director to lead technology for Javro, its affiliated companies, and client organizations. The role combines internal IT leadership with client-facing, fractional IT direction and managed-service delivery. It is intended to build a strategic IT operations function, using managed support and cybersecurity as its foundation and adding automation, AI strategy, vendor governance, and scalable technology systems. The IT Director will own IT roadmaps, standards, systems priorities, vendor relationships, budgets, and operational risk; oversee core IT operations and end-user support; and lead cybersecurity as an ongoing operating discipline. For clients, the role serves as a senior technology contact and provides integrated support, security, strategic planning, and continuing technology guidance. The position also establishes formal vendor, integration, and AI-governance processes; advises leaders on AI use cases and implementation options; and develops reusable playbooks, standards, templates, workflows, and AI-enabled processes as company intellectual property. It scopes and manages technical projects and specialist partners, builds a repeatable MSP service framework, and leads a distributed team supporting internal operations and client needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Director, Head of IT, vCIO, MSP leader, or senior managed-services consultant.
  • Experience leading both internal IT and multiple client environments.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Google Suite, identity and access management, endpoint/MDM, Windows administration, security tooling, and cloud SaaS.
  • Demonstrated cybersecurity and compliance experience, including third-party vendor evaluation.
  • Practical automation experience, including identifying manual workflows and delivering operational automation.
  • Strong AI strategy judgment, including evaluating use cases, controls, data retention, adoption, business value, and implementation options.
  • Executive communication skills, including explaining technical, security, compliance, and AI tradeoffs in plain business language.
  • Ability to be hands-on when needed while also setting strategy and managing vendors.
  • Strong process-documentation discipline and an instinct for creating reusable standards and intellectual property.
  • Proven experience managing, mentoring, and leading technical teams, including distributed or global workforces, to deliver managed services.
  • Experience with the MSP service-delivery model, including service profitability, standardization across client environments, and metric-driven service improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the IT roadmap, technology standards, systems priorities, vendor relationships, budgets, and operational risk for Javro and affiliated companies.
  • Build technology infrastructure that supports company growth.
  • Serve as the senior technology point of contact for client leadership and provide fractional IT Director and managed IT leadership.
  • Deliver integrated managed services, including IT support, cybersecurity, strategic planning, and ongoing technology guidance.
  • Manage identity and access management, managed devices, onboarding and offboarding, endpoint standards, shared systems, hardware, and SaaS administration.
  • Maintain documentation, escalation paths, service levels, and clear ownership across environments.
  • Lead cybersecurity activities, including email filtering, phishing and malware protections, antivirus and anti-malware monitoring, security awareness training, phishing testing, environment hardening, access controls, and security-monitoring coordination.
  • Develop security recommendations in line with each organization’s risk appetite and compliance requirements.
  • Assess SaaS, CRM, automation, and AI vendors before granting system access; review security and compliance documentation, permissions, data handling, retention, and integration risks; and provide risk-based recommendations.
  • Advise leaders on AI strategy, including appropriate use cases, work that should remain human-led, solution selection, and rollout considerations such as business value, security, compliance, data retention, and adoption.
  • Create reusable playbooks, standards, templates, automation workflows, and AI-enabled operating processes for Javro, affiliated companies, and clients.
  • Scope and manage project work such as network equipment, data-center builds, security initiatives, and complex integrations; coordinate external MSPs and other technical partners.
  • Establish standardized technology stacks, service-delivery metrics, and proactive maintenance routines across client environments.
  • Design operational systems that translate client needs into repeatable, scalable service-delivery models.
  • Lead and manage a distributed U.S.-based and/or global team, including delegation, team development, and maintaining high service standards.
  • Manage MSP service profitability, standardization across client environments, and continuous service improvement using metrics.
