About The Position

The IT Director (ERP & IT) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and execution of the organization’s technology landscape, including ERP/EDI systems and IT infrastructure. This role ensures the alignment of technology solutions with business objectives, drives digital transformation, and oversees the successful delivery, maintenance, and optimization of ERP systems and IT operations. The Director leads cross-functional teams, manages vendors, and ensures secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–12+ years of progressive IT experience, with leadership responsibility in ERP and IT operations.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems (e.g., JustFood) and EDI integrations.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale ERP implementations and IT transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and change management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, email communications, and presentations effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily IT operations, including hardware, software, networks, telecommunications, and security systems.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of all IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Oversee system installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures, data protection, backups, and disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Monitor IT performance metrics and continuously improve systems and processes.
  • Develop and execute the overall IT and ERP strategy aligned with organizational goals and long-term business plans.
  • Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and best practices across ERP and infrastructure.
  • Provide vision, roadmap, and leadership for ERP, EDI, and IT programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Act as a change leader, driving digital transformation and organizational adoption of new systems and technologies.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders to influence decision-making and business planning.
  • Oversee the implementation, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of ERP and EDI systems.
  • Lead ERP program delivery, including design, configuration, testing, reporting, integrations, and custom solutions.
  • Ensure all ERP/EDI initiatives are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with program objectives and business needs.
  • Analyze business requirements, identify system improvements, and recommend enhancements or customizations.
  • Ensure proper documentation of functional and technical specifications and adherence to ERP standards and methodologies.
  • Lead change management strategy to ensure successful system adoption across the organization
  • Oversee IT and ERP project portfolios, ensuring timely and successful delivery within scope and budget.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and service providers.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation across projects and operational priorities.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Identify risks related to IT systems and ERP programs and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data governance, and internal controls.
  • Conduct system audits and evaluate performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT and ERP teams, including managers, analysts, and technical staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and career development of team members.
  • Provide guidance and direction on technical solutions and project execution.
  • Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
  • Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
  • Approve the vacation requests.
  • Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
  • Issue disciplinary action when needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
