Requirements

  • Demonstrated successful experience with IT security and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with tech vendors to optimize services and solutions.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and lead direct reports.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
  • Solid track record of setting and meeting goals.
  • High level of understanding regarding IT terminology and procedures.
  • Exceptionally high computer skills and software proficiency in all Microsoft Office products and companion tools.
  • Ability to travel to sites as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of five years of IT experience with three years in a leadership role.
  • Required experience with successful NIST and/or HITRUST certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Certifications in IT a plus.
  • Previous experience on the healthcare field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the network and server infrastructure of Engaging Solutions.
  • Oversee Information Security strategy and governance.
  • Ensure the security of the company's computer systems and electronic data.
  • Develop and implement customized systems.
  • Oversee all technology and electronic data requirements required by regulatory and certification authorities.
  • Identify and implement new technologies.
  • Ensure the security and privacy of the organization's data.
  • Manage and monitor IT projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in meetings and presentations to discuss IT initiatives with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify technology needs and implement new systems or upgrades that will best support the business.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Implement IT policies related to IT operations.
  • Maintain the Disaster Recovery Business Continuity Plan and conduct regular testing.
  • Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using the full range of capabilities and stay informed about new features and competitor solutions.
  • Research industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending strategic investments and process improvements as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day internally and externally with contracted Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Manage hardware, software and strategic solutions in collaboration with MSP and other technology vendors.
  • Serve as Project Manager for all aspects of information technology and security, including all formal oversight committees and activities.
  • Provide strategic oversight to ensure alignment between information security strategy and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee compliance with the HIPAA Security Rule and certification requirements related to information security, including all relevant security policies and procedures.
  • Oversee Data Governance and Risk Governance programs to ensure compliance with requirements; Manage documented data inventory, data flows, and data segregation requirements.
  • Chair the information security committees, providing required documentation of security activities and decisions.
  • Provide leadership with regular monitoring reports as required by the Information Security Program.
  • Respond to client audits related to information security program.
  • Perform due diligence security audits and training for third party vendors.
