The Desktop Support department is seeking a desktop support technician to build, configure, and install Windows desktops and laptops, and perform advanced hardware and software troubleshooting for associates.

Requirements

experience installing hardware and software
effective communication and customer service skills
experience with Windows 10 and Office 365 suite of products including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
working knowledge of networks and network terminology
repair skills for PCs and peripherals
must be a self-starter
the ability to work in a team environment
An associate’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related discipline

Nice To Haves

Industry relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
Knowledge of Windows 10 and VMWare view/thin clients

Responsibilities

perform essential software installs and uninstalls
perform new system imaging and configuration
track and update open calls and escalate situations as necessary
assist in creating documentation for installing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
complete assigned projects on time and provide status reports to management
install hardware and software, including operating system and office applications
perform required quality assurance tests
work with customers, set appointments, maintain schedules and other documentation
