About The Position

HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is looking for a Summer 2027 IT Data Analytics Intern, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to drive innovation in data-driven decision making. You will gain hands-on experience in analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation, supporting real business challenges.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master's Program for Computer Science or a related discipline is required.
Familiarity with databases, data visualization, and AI/ML tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Azure AI, Python, etc.).
Strong interest in technology, artificial intelligence, and analytics.
Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

No prior experience required; exposure to AI, analytics, or programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing and implementing data collection, analysis, and AI-driven processes.
Gather, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights using advanced analytics and AI tools.
Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions for business use cases.
Apply data analytics and AI techniques to conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Azure tools.
Prepare compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with team members to provide analytical and AI support for ongoing projects.
Proactively manage tickets and tasks, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
Participate in special assignments or projects involving AI, automation, and data science as assigned by your supervisor.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
