Data Analytics Intern
About The Position
As a Data Analytics Intern in the Internal Audit department, you will use data analytics to support audit objectives, uncover insights, and help drive business decisions. You will learn new tools and techniques, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and contribute to impactful projects. The team is integrating AI into audit work to improve efficiency and accuracy, using smart automation with light oversight so team members can focus on higher-value activities. The role offers opportunities to participate in practical AI applications. The internship is scheduled for Summer 2027 and runs for 12 weeks at 40 hours per week. It is hybrid, with the ability to work in the Akron, Ohio office. The salary range is $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Base pay may vary based on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, statistics, information technology, or a related discipline.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Anticipated graduation date of May 2027.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts, analyze data, and draw informed conclusions using sound judgment.
- Ability to apply creative and innovative thinking.
Nice To Haves
- Prior data analytics or business experience is welcomed but not required.
- Prior coursework in IT, auditing, analytics, or business technology is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as a data analytics resource for the internal audit team.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Maintain consistent, regular scheduled attendance, which is considered an essential function of the job.
