Data Analytics Intern
About The Position
As a Data Analytics Intern in Signet Jewelers’ Internal Audit department, you will use data analytics to support audit objectives, uncover insights, and help drive business decisions. You will have opportunities to learn tools and techniques, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and contribute to impactful projects. The team is integrating AI into audit work to improve efficiency and accuracy, using smart automation with light oversight so the team can focus on higher-value activities. The internship is scheduled for summer 2027 and runs 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. The work environment is hybrid, with the ability to work in the Akron, Ohio office. The salary range is $19.00–$20.00 per hour; the base pay offered may vary based on factors including geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, statistics, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Have an anticipated graduation date of May 2027.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to learn new concepts, analyze data, and draw informed conclusions using sound judgment.
- Be able to apply creative and innovative thinking.
Nice To Haves
- Prior data analytics or business experience is welcomed but not required.
- Prior coursework in IT, auditing, analytics, or business technology is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Act as a data analytics resource for the internal audit team.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Maintain consistent, regular scheduled attendance.
