About The Position

This role is responsible for managing Mitra9’s day-to-day IT systems, accounts, devices, and software platforms. The IT Coordinator will support employees with technical troubleshooting and IT-related requests, build and manage an internal ticket submission/support process, and assist with hardware/software setup, access management, and account provisioning. The position also involves building scalable onboarding and offboarding processes, supporting IT security best practices, and creating a scalable IT and security structure. The IT Coordinator will serve as a liaison with external IT vendors and MSPs, maintain documentation, and ensure systems remain functional, protected, and cost-effective. Additionally, the role will assist with the implementation and management of AI platforms, develop AI usage best practices, and explore how AI tools can improve workflows and productivity.

Requirements

  • Recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong interest in IT systems, cybersecurity, SaaS tools, and emerging technologies
  • Naturally tech-savvy with strong troubleshooting instincts
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts
  • Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented with internal team members
  • Organized, responsive, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who enjoys figuring things out and improving systems
  • Excited by startup environments and helping build processes from the ground up
  • Comfortable working closely with leadership and external vendors

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, MSPs, & ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and best practices
  • Experience using or managing AI tools/platforms
  • Previous internship, campus IT, or help desk experience
  • Experience working with outsourced IT or MSP partners

Responsibilities

  • Help manage Mitra9’s day-to-day IT systems, accounts, devices, and software platforms
  • Support employees with technical troubleshooting and IT-related requests
  • Build and manage an internal ticket submission/support process
  • Assist with hardware/software setup, access management, and account provisioning
  • Be available and responsive when urgent IT issues arise
  • Help build scalable onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Support IT security best practices across systems and users
  • Help create a “right-sized” IT and security structure that can scale with the business
  • Partner with external IT/security vendors, including Our Third-Party IT Company and other IT platforms
  • Help maintain documentation, policies, and system organization
  • Ensure systems remain functional, protected, and cost-effective as the company grows
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison Our Third-Party IT platforms and MSP
  • Be highly communicative and proactive with external partners and internal stakeholders
  • Clearly explain technical issues, risks, and recommendations in simple, non-technical terms to leadership
  • Help leadership evaluate software, systems, and technology investments
  • Manage IT-related purchasing responsibly and obtain leadership approval for technology spend and budget items
  • Assist with implementation and management of AI platforms and accounts (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
  • Help develop AI usage best practices for internal teams
  • Explore ways AI tools can improve workflows, productivity, and communication
  • Help the company stay informed on practical and scalable AI solutions
