About The Position

Assists in the architecture, maintenance and performance of the software applications used by the cooperative to carry out its business objectives. Such applications include but are not limited to: billing, accounting, meter data management, outage management, staking, AppSuite mobile application. Assisting in project management, systems integration and systems administration. The Team Members are empowered to spend most time doing MVEC’s hands-on work. Leading by example, the Team Member’s focus is to: Successfully carry out daily work, implement process improvements, suggest new ideas, serve on Teams, and proactively identify and resolve problems. Participate in setting goals and investigate training opportunities to build their skill set which allows work objectives to further the cooperative's strategy. Work cooperatively across departments, communicate effectively and be responsive. All Team Members are accountable to MVEC's vision and mission, serving the membership and Team with servant leadership, dedication to safety and following the Team Member handbook.

Requirements

  • 4 year degree in MIS or Computer Science or applicable degree. In lieu of a degree, 3 years experience in Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
  • 3 years of experience in applications management and design, software applications, and integration mythologies
  • 1 year of experience with data mining tools or SQL queries
  • Advanced level of competency using of Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Working knowledge of relational database management and querying data
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query development
  • Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills to troubleshoot issues and find opportunities
  • Understanding of Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of accounting and billing processes and software packages
  • Knowledge of NISC Platforms (iVUE, iVUE Connect, AppSuite, Multispeak)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of software environment at MVEC
  • Responsible for the data integration methods and interfaces between software systems
  • Responsible for using data extraction tools to gather data from systems for all MVEC needs
  • Leading various information systems projects to solve business problems
  • Provides user support for software, including identifying, reporting and tracking software problems and enhancements of National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) platforms
