About The Position

Hunt is seeking an IT Business Analyst Intern for its IT department at the Dallas, Texas office. This is a paid summer internship opportunity for Summer 2027. The IT team manages strategic IT projects and business programs and oversees IT financial management, including budgets. The intern will work alongside project managers and gain practical experience in planning, tracking, and funding technology investments, as well as project management and IT finance. The role supports executive reporting, project delivery, and budget analysis, and includes managing a small IT project through delivery under the mentorship of a senior project manager.

Requirements

Be a rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in MIS, Information Systems, IT, or Business with a finance/IT focus.
Have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Knowledge of modern AI tools, including Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
Experience working with applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Be a self-starter with an excellent work ethic.
Demonstrate creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and areas of responsibility concurrently.
Ability to provide academic transcripts.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Power BI or Smartsheet.
A basic understanding of project management methodologies.
Ability to bring innovative ideas and a fresh perspective to project management and financial processes.

Responsibilities

Maintain project schedules, status reports, and RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
Manage a small IT project through delivery under the mentorship of a senior project manager.
Support executive reporting and dashboards.
Assist with IT budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support invoice and purchase tracking against budgets.
