About The Position

Austin Industries is seeking a proactive and analytical IT Business Analyst I for its corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. This role acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic goals and deliver value. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT projects, systems analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or financial platforms.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and hybrid project methodologies.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, JIRA, Confluence, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Construction or industrial services industry experience.
  • 0 - 3 years of work experience as a business analyst.
  • Experience with CMiC, OneStream, Egnyte or other enterprise platforms used at Austin.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data integration concepts.
  • Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across operating companies to gather, document, and validate business requirements for technology solutions.
  • Analyze existing processes and systems, identify gaps, and propose improvements or new solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development and configuration teams.
  • Assist with project scoping, prioritization, and delivery planning in collaboration with the PMO.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management activities.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and status updates as part of agile or waterfall delivery frameworks.
  • Maintain documentation such as process flows, user stories, test cases, and data mappings.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance and data security standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
