About The Position

Colonial Oil Industries supplies and markets refined products and marine fuels, using energy trading and risk management (ETRM) software to capture trades, schedule and move product, track inventory, value positions, and settle and invoice with counterparties. The IT Business Analyst I – ETRM supports business users—including traders, schedulers, supply and logistics, operations, and accounting—in their daily use of these systems, and helps configure and troubleshoot related applications. The company will teach the commodity-trading domain and is seeking someone analytical, curious, attentive to detail, and motivated to learn how physical and financial energy markets work. The role offers exposure to traders, schedulers, and accountants; hands-on work with a live trading platform; and opportunities to contribute early to ETRM modernization, requirements, selection, and implementation work. The position is based in Houston, Texas, with occasional travel to Savannah, Georgia, or other Colonial offices.
