About The Position

Feeding Tampa Bay is seeking a dedicated AV and Technology Specialist to join our mission-driven team. As a critical member of our IT department, you will provide essential AV support to our events staff and serve as Tier 1 and Tier 2 support on our help desk - ensuring seamless operations and productivity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus relevant certifications; Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in end-user support or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Azure Entra ID, Intune, Freshdesk, and Office suite of tools.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Proficiency in security protocols, risk management, monitoring, and a basic understanding of SOC2 and HIPAA compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests simultaneously.

  • High flexibility to work varying hours is essential, including evenings and weekends, to support events (Flex scheduling provided where possible).
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment as needed.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and crawl in tight spaces.
  • Basic understanding of network administration and security principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of physical security systems and procedures preferred.
  • Willing to actively participate in mission-driven programs, such as food distribution initiatives and disaster relief operations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary on-site AV and technical support for internal and external hospitality events, including setup, breakdown, run-of-show support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with our support team to deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical assistance for software, hardware, AV, and network issues through various channels (helpdesk, phone, email, in-person).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical problems efficiently, escalating complex issues as needed to vendors and managing the resolution process start to finish.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals, as well as our various AV equipment and accessories.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, AV equipment, and software licenses.
  • Create and update user-friendly documentation and training materials for the helpdesk team as well as end-users.
  • Assist with network maintenance, troubleshooting, and user access management.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and monitoring of physical security systems, such as access control and surveillance.
