About The Position

Smarty is seeking an IT Associate to join our team. This role involves providing general troubleshooting, problem-solving, and training to Smarty team members. You will be responsible for researching, procuring, managing, configuring, and supporting employee equipment, including laptops, phones, monitors, peripherals, printers, desks, and chairs. Additionally, you will procure and allocate software licenses and subscriptions, track and manage company assets, and configure and update network equipment such as routers, switches, cables, and wireless access points. You will also manage the Smarty phone system, ensure the security of company assets through regular audits, and develop protocols and assist with creating policies and procedures. This role also includes managing Smarty facilities to maintain performance standards and completing special projects like remodels and workstation optimization. A key aspect of this role is engaging in face-to-face and in-person coordination with team members to align IT activities with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience delivering technical customer service preferred
  • Willingness to learn and help others
  • Strong communication skills necessary to work with all levels of Smarty
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in problem solving
  • Experience working with Linux Shell scripting
  • Aware of System and Organization Controls Reporting (SOC2)

Responsibilities

  • Provide Smarty team members with general troubleshooting services, problem solving, and training
  • Research, procure, manage, configure, and support employee equipment, including laptops, phones, monitors, peripherals, printers, desks, chairs, etc.
  • Procure and allocate software licenses and subscriptions
  • Track, manage, and disperse company assets
  • Configure and update network equipment, including routers, switches, cables, wireless access points, and firmware
  • Configure and manage the Smarty phone system
  • Ensure that Smarty assets are safe and secure, performing regular audits while installing and managing physical devices
  • Develop protocols and assist with creating policies and procedures to meet the needs of an evolving business landscape
  • Manage Smarty facilities to maintain performance standards, including HVAC, elevator, furniture, installations, etc.
  • Complete special projects, from remodels and rebuilds to workstation optimization
  • Engage primarily in face-to-face and in-person coordination of work with other team members to align IT-specific activities with organizational objectives
