About The Position
Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is seeking a motivated IT Associate I to join their Information Technology team. This role is crucial for ensuring staff across multiple programs have the technology and support they need to serve individuals and families effectively. NKHS is a 501(c)(3) private not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting high quality, comprehensive community mental health programs in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. The organization's mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities by promoting hope, healing, and support. NKHS serves populations in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties through various programs for all ages, with over 500 employees providing a wide range of services. The IT Associate I will provide essential technical support, maintain systems, and help ensure the reliability and security of the organization’s technology infrastructure, directly supporting staff in delivering critical services.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- 1–2 years of experience working with computers, network systems, project management concepts, information security practices, and technical infrastructure required
Nice To Haves
- Related certification or Associate’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and problem resolution to end users across multiple sites
- Respond to and assist staff with Help Desk requests in a timely manner
- Perform equipment moves, repairs, additions, and changes including end user devices and network equipment
- Install and configure PC hardware and software
- Collaborate with the IT team to create and update operational procedures
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing technical infrastructure including LAN/WAN networks, Windows servers, operating systems, Exchange, and workstations
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure reliable network performance
