About The Position

The IT Associate Director – Navistar Financial Corporation is a senior IT leadership role responsible for partnering with global financial and operational leaders to define, fund, and execute technology strategies that enable business growth, operational excellence, and financial transparency for the International® Financial services business. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across International Financial, including budgeting, governance, and auto shop floor operations, ensuring IT investments align with global business priorities and deliver measurable value. The Associate Director operates as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, leading cross-functional, matrixed teams across regions to drive execution excellence, manage risk, and improve customer and stakeholder outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Business Alignment
  • Partner with the IT Business Partner, International Financial leadership, TRATON Financial Services IT and senior business executives to define, maintain, and execute global financial IT strategy in alignment with the global business vision and financial objectives.
  • Translate global financial services strategies, including auto shop floor operations, into a multi-year IT roadmap that supports operational efficiency, scalability, compliance, and innovation.
  • Serve as a recognized subject matter expert (SME) across global financial systems, shop floor technologies, and enabling platforms.
  • Operating Model, Governance & Budgeting
  • Lead development and execution of the International Financial IT operating plan, including demand management, investment prioritization, and governance processes.
  • Own IT financial management for International Financial, including budget planning, forecasting, cost optimization, and value realization.
  • Coordinate cross-business and cross-region IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall Traton Financial Service enterprise standards while addressing local and regional needs.
  • Ensure governance disciplines are consistently applied to projects, programs, and services.
  • Execution & Delivery Leadership
  • Be accountable for execution against approved operating plans, ensuring delivery of IT programs and services on time, within budget, and aligned to business outcomes.
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional and cross-organizational teams of business and technical leaders in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to protect business results.
  • Champion execution excellence by holding teams accountable and providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Technology Enablement & Innovation
  • Recommend, sponsor, and implement IT programs and initiatives that enable International Financial business priorities, including automation, shop floor integration, financial systems modernization, and data-driven decision making.
  • Leverage systems integration and modern technology platforms to improve end-to-end business processes across international operations.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies, applying them pragmatically to deliver competitive advantage.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Communicate IT strategy, execution status, risks, and opportunities clearly to executive and senior leaders.
  • Act as a key liaison between business leadership and IT delivery teams, ensuring shared understanding of priorities and outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships that result in high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership Responsibilities
  • Serve as an IT executive for the International Financial business unit, providing vision, leadership, and guidance across domestic and international operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within IT and across business partners.
  • Influence without authority in a matrixed organization, driving alignment across functions and regions.
