About The Position

The Account/Sales Management Team is a closely knit community and supports a diverse array of North American customers and encompasses the entire ZF product portfolio. The Account Manager candidate for this role will be primarily focused on new acquisitions in braking, ADAS, air supply, and suspension systems and assisting with the strategic growth plan set forth by the Key Account Manager. The key success to this role will be understanding the customer’s perspective and satisfying their expectations while performing the necessary steps within ZF’s process to achieve that.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering)
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in OE sales or a related field in the Commercial Vehicle industry
  • Ability to work in a matrix collaboration with global key account team and product lines
  • Strategic thinking and ability to draw a vision for the account
  • Strong sales and commercial leadership with negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Technical experience in product group and solid understanding of system-/function-approach of ZF (CrossBU, leveraging deal rationale)
  • Travel is required based on business needs (10-25%)

Responsibilities

  • Main interface with both customer operational levels and internal project team levels at engineering, quality, logistics and purchasing
  • Regular presence at the customer premises, gathering voice of the customer, market and projects information, and supporting customer demands
  • Profit & Loss responsibility for the assigned domain at the customer within agreed boundaries
  • Owns and executes customer strategy of current business and white spots within the assigned domain/customer
  • Leading negotiations and escalations for assigned domain within agreed boundaries
  • Responsible for achieving and driving the defined sales KPI targets (AR past due, logistics, quality, service) for assigned domain/customer
  • Lead Sales Planning/Forecasting for assigned domain/customer within aligned strategy
  • Drive change management for assigned products
