About The Position

The IT Associate Business Systems Analyst is a Business Systems Analyst with emerging basic skills and understanding of application life-cycle planning, application support, and maintenance for assigned enterprise applications, including but not limited to administration, troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving errors and/or issues with assigned applications. The IT Associate Business Systems Analyst will work closely with the Business Systems Analysts to provide consultation to users as needed for optimal system utilization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D).
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Two (2) years’ experience working with various software applications such as RightFax, SharePoint, OnBase, Zoom, Dynamics F&O, Dayforce, etc.
  • ISTQB’s (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Foundation-Level Business Analyst Certification (CFLBA) or equivalent within one (1) year of hire.
  • May be required to complete a technology specific certification in an application such as SharePoint, OnBase, Jira, Everbridge, etc.
  • Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment.
  • Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday.
  • If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
  • This position requires certification(s) within one (1) year of hire.
  • All employees are required to undergo drug testing prior to employment and will be subject to post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty and follow up drug and alcohol testing in compliance with Federal and State regulations for alcohol and controlled substance testing.
  • Employees in positions holding responsibility for the safety and welfare of others will also be classified as safety sensitive.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of application analysis and operating systems preferably used in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient at creating workflow documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (I.T.I.L.) practices.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read and write in both languages.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and has basic knowledge of all assigned applications.
  • Works alongside Business Systems Analysts I, II, III to assist in troubleshooting, modifying, and maintaining assigned applications.
  • Troubleshoots simple application errors and/or issues and seeks vendor or team support as needed.
  • Understands and articulates application workflow, purpose, and user base.
  • Triages and troubleshoots daily tickets to reduce application and workflow interruptions.
  • Assists in ensuring the assigned applications meet the usability requirements for user workflows.
  • Documents application workflows, standard work, and knowledge base articles.
  • Assists in ensuring applications meet organizational goals and research alternatives when appropriate.
  • Participates and assists in recommending and coordinating end-user proficiency training when needed.
  • Assists in application upgrades, service pack and patch installations.
  • Acts as the liaison between the end-user, vendor and supporting teams within IT for upgrades, service pack and patch installs and support requests.
  • Participates and assists in end-to-end testing, including end-users where appropriate after installation of upgrades, service packs and patches.
  • Manages application users, roles and permissions or delegate as appropriate.
  • Assists in ensuring the assigned applications maintain compliance with regulatory and/or HIPPA requirements.
  • Tests and validates implementation of application resilience through high availability when possible.
  • Acts as the Service Desk front-line resource for assigned application support requests, training and build appropriate Service Desk “run books” for handling support requests.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with all Policies and Procedures including but not limited to work areas, workstations, examination rooms, hand washing, infection prevention and control etc. for this position.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and proficiency with the application of all compliance and reporting requirements respective to Joint Commission Certification (JCC) standards.
