About The Position

The IT Asset Management Intern will gain hands-on asset management experience by supporting tasks within the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta environment. The intern will work closely with a designated mentor who assigns and guides work activities to align with departmental processes, service delivery goals, and professional development objectives. The internship is paid, lasts 10–12 weeks during the summer, and requires a 40-hour work week. Summer housing is not provided.

Requirements

• Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Bachelor’s or graduate degree program for the duration of the internship.
• Have a cumulative GPA above 3.0 in an academically rigorous curriculum.
• Commit to working 40 hours per week for 10–12 weeks during the summer.
• Have basic knowledge of ServiceNow.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have strong analytical skills.
• Be able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Be comfortable working across time zones to complete projects in a timely manner.
• Be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Meet required background screening requirements, including at minimum fingerprinting, criminal background check, and education and employment verification.

• Preferred majors: Information Technology, Information Systems, or Technology Management.

Responsibilities

• Track hardware and software throughout their asset lifecycles.
• Perform monthly attestations for software license and bad-list validation.
• Wipe equipment hard drives.
• Update the CMDB for change and incident requests.
• Administer the Retiree Gifting Program.
• Monitor mobile devices that have not been used in 90 or more days.
