About The Position

This is an internal job opportunity exclusive to current employees of Wiliamson County. Reporting directly to an assigned manager or director, this role is responsible for analyzing, defining, and creating technological solutions for specific hardware and/or software to solve business problems and meet user and organizational needs. This is Level I of III in Analysts. The Specialized Assignment is in Development Services, which involves generating and analyzing data sets, developing analytical methods for data-driven decision making, reconciling data inconsistencies, ensuring data integrity, designing and enhancing current data services (reporting, web design, data visualizations), and utilizing seeded application APIs while creating and maintaining custom APIs for integration between county applications.

Requirements

  • Vocational/technical diploma or certificate and two (2) years of job-related experience; OR three (3) years of job-related experience.
  • Working knowledge of specific job-related technology.
  • Required Technology certification in area of responsibility.
  • Required within thirty (30) days of employment: Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Working knowledge in all areas of technology software, hardware, data, methodologies, frameworks, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical analysis of applicable data to produce products and solutions to resolve technology-related business problems.
  • Provides technical consulting and support services as needed.
  • Assists with developing alternative workflow solutions by analyzing and testing new or existing procedures.
  • Performs routine to moderately complex computer systems and server environment analysis work to ensure stable systems for all users throughout the County.
  • Analyzes and defines business processes associated with system enhancements.
  • Participates in designing and maintaining system configuration and setup.
  • Works as part of a team to procure and implement major systems or upgrades to existing applications and systems.
  • Attends all meetings and trainings, as required.
  • Performs special duties as assigned.
  • Generates and analyzes data sets.
  • Develops analytical methods to enable data-driven decision making.
  • Reconciles data inconsistencies and ensure data integrity.
