About The Position

TECHSTAFF is recruiting an experienced, hands-on IT Administrator for a growing manufacturing company in Mesa, Arizona. The role owns and improves day-to-day IT operations for approximately 75 employees across a multi-building manufacturing campus. It combines systems administration, infrastructure support, end-user troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and technology improvement initiatives. The company is preparing to move from its current ERP system to a new cloud-based platform. External cybersecurity specialists support the company; this position does not require CMMC assessor or compliance-lead experience, but general cybersecurity and CUI knowledge and the ability to follow established security procedures are important. The position is primarily on-site and supports multiple buildings in a manufacturing environment. It includes regular movement between facilities and occasional after-hours or weekend work for scheduled maintenance, system changes, incidents, or recovery activities. The ideal candidate is proactive and able to balance user support with infrastructure management, vendor coordination, and longer-term improvements.

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and prioritize support requests according to business needs.
  • Ability to coordinate external service providers, document technical work, and communicate clearly with nontechnical users and leadership.
  • Experience supporting an ERP system or other business-critical applications.
  • General understanding of cybersecurity principles and CUI handling, or ability to learn and follow established procedures.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent education and professional experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial environments, or multi-building facilities.
  • Familiarity with Epicor or other ERP implementation or migration projects.

  • Experience with infrastructure upgrades, internet service implementations, automation, or process improvement.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA Security+, or comparable technical certifications.
  • Experience working with managed IT providers, cybersecurity consultants, or security readiness initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Microsoft 365, user accounts, email, licenses, access permissions, and endpoint management.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows computers, laptops, printers, wired and wireless networks, firewalls, switches, servers, and related equipment.
  • Provide technical support to approximately 75 employees across multiple buildings.
  • Manage user onboarding, role changes, offboarding, equipment setup, and access controls.
  • Monitor system performance, backups, patching, and assigned security safeguards.
  • Coordinate with internet service providers, technology vendors, and external IT and cybersecurity partners.
  • Help maintain reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure.
  • Support production equipment connectivity and technology needs of manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and better use of existing applications.
  • Assist with internet connectivity improvements, including planned infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain practical backup, recovery, and business continuity procedures.
  • Support the transition from the existing ERP system to a new cloud-based platform, including user access, data preparation, integrations, testing, implementation, training coordination, and post-launch support.
  • Maintain reliable operation of existing business applications during system changes.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and implementation partners to support business requirements.
  • Follow established information security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of CUI handling and CMMC requirements and escalate questions or concerns to leadership or external specialists.
  • Maintain IT inventories, system documentation, configurations, access records, and recovery procedures.
  • Coordinate vendor performance, support agreements, licensing, renewals, and technology projects.
