About The Position

VPT, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology professional to support its locations in Chelmsford, MA and Lawrence, MA. This full-time, on-site position floats between the two locations and supports daily information technology and infrastructure needs. The role provides technical support to end users, maintains systems and infrastructure, and troubleshoots hardware, software, system access, connectivity, and basic networking issues. The anticipated starting salary range is $85,000–$95,000 per year; actual starting salary may vary based on location, education, and experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Accounting Information Systems.
At least three years of relevant work experience.
Must be a US Person.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to end users and troubleshoot hardware, software, system access, and connectivity issues to maintain productivity and minimize downtime.
Perform routine systems maintenance, including backups, recovery options, and file maintenance.
Proactively address system issues to maintain uptime and performance.
Acquire, install, and test system software upgrades and updates.
Install and test computer hardware and components as required.
Configure system software to meet operational requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems involving systems, software, and basic networking.
Maintain documentation of IT infrastructure, including system configurations and related information.
Create and maintain troubleshooting procedures and technical documentation.
