About The Position

Primoris Energy Services is seeking skilled Ironworkers for the Rayburn 24005 project. This role involves the safe and efficient erection, assembly, and installation of structural steel and other metal components according to project specifications and blueprints.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Ironworker, preferably in industrial or energy construction settings.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, schematics, and erection drawings.
  • Proficiency in the use of various hand and power tools common to ironworking.
  • Experience with rigging and signaling for crane operations.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Welding certifications (e.g., AWS D1.1) are a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and erection drawings to determine appropriate methods and sequences for erecting structural steel.
  • Unload and stack steel components, ensuring proper identification and storage.
  • Assemble and erect structural steel frames, columns, beams, girders, and other metal components using various tools and equipment.
  • Perform rigging operations, including selecting and inspecting appropriate rigging gear, communicating with crane operators, and guiding loads safely.
  • Connect steel components using bolts, rivets, or by welding, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
  • Cut, grind, and prepare steel components for fitting and assembly.
  • Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Inspect erected structures for conformity to specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades on site.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
