About The Position

The Cook is a key member of the restaurant team, responsible for preparing and presenting quality food to guests. The role works in a customer-service-focused environment and supports the restaurant’s goal of returning travelers to the road better than they came. Duties include food preparation, cooking, maintaining food-safety standards, and keeping equipment and work areas in line with operating standards. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
• Set up broiler, fryer, and grill stations according to line check sheets.
• Prepare products to guest specifications and follow plate presentation guides.
• Complete prep, freezer pull, and temperature checklist sheets.
• Follow safe food handling, storage, and waste control procedures.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations involving team members or customers.
• Maintain equipment according to operating standards.
• Prioritize work according to restaurant and guest needs.
• Build strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
