About The Position

The Interventional Radiology Nurse Supervisor will provide oversight to Interventional Radiology and is responsible for coordinating the management functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care for the unit. Supervises staff and functions, while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and unit specific expertise. Specific duties include managing Human Resources functions; directing patient care activities; implementing workplace changes; monitoring unit budgets; and participating in performance improvement projects. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients and others.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice of moderate sedation within the past 6 months
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Supervisor / lead
  • Complete understanding of patient classification system & staffing requirements for the patient population
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in an IR or Cath Lab
  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Bachelor of Science, Nursing
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

  • Unit specific nursing certification
  • Experience in managing Interventional Radiology workflow, efficiency, throughput, and scheduling
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
