About The Position

This position involves providing occupational therapy services to patients in both Rehabilitation and Acute Rehabilitation settings. The therapist will be responsible for evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing therapeutic programs as prescribed by physicians, and updating treatment plans and home exercise programs. The role requires independent caseload management and knowledge of when to perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization. The position may require working Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary based on hospital operations. The primary equipment utilized in the department includes EMR systems: Net Health Therapy and Meditech.

Requirements

• Hawaii License
• Minimum 2 years' work experience in the following settings working with adults (Outpatient and Acute)
• BLS from American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients either as Outpatient or Inpatient.
• Plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the ordering physician.
• Regularly update treatment plan and home exercise program.
• Independently manage a full caseload.
• Be knowledgeable about when to perform re-evaluations based off insurance authorization.
• Work Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as necessary based on hospital operations.
