As an integral member of the team, Associates play a meaningful role in new business development, due diligence, and transaction execution. Associates work with senior professionals to identify and evaluate opportunities and then meet with and present to prospective clients. Associates must demonstrate a mastery of financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation or review of in-depth financial models involved in transactions. Associates are also charged with drafting internal and external documents and marketing materials utilized in transactions. Associates often take a lead role in executing transactions and working with clients, attorneys, investors, interested parties and other senior professionals on a daily basis. As a result, strong organizational, communication and leadership skills are necessary to be effective in the position. Candidates who receive a general Investment Banking Associate offer could be placed within one of the following groups: Truist Securities Industry Coverage: Consumer & Retail, Energy, Financial Institutions, Healthcare (incl. Life Sciences), Industrials & Services, Financial Sponsors, Technology, Media and Telecom. Prior to joining on a full-time basis, Truist Securities’ Associates participate in up to seven weeks of a comprehensive training program in Atlanta. Training consists of classroom instruction in an introduction to capital markets, products and services, accounting, corporate finance, systems and financial modeling training. The goal of training is to equip Associates with the skills, knowledge, and tools to quickly adjust to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make an immediate contribution to their team.

Requirements

MBA from a leading program with a scheduled graduation of December 2026 or May/June 2027
Minimum of 3 years work experience required
Ability to understand complex financial products and desire for significant transaction execution responsibility
Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
Superior written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
English fluency (Required)
