About The Position

Ethos Risk Services is seeking an experienced Field Investigator to conduct surveillance and investigative activities to identify potential fraudulent insurance claims. The role includes stationary and mobile surveillance, obtaining video and photographic evidence, and preparing detailed reports for clients. Investigators prepare for assignments by reviewing preliminary reports and case information, conduct covert surveillance from their vehicles, and produce court-ready reports summarizing activity and findings. At the end of the day, they finalize case files by submitting reports and uploading video footage using a personal laptop. They work with field supervisors and operations teams, receiving regular guidance and mentorship. Assignments are generally intended to be within a two-hour drive of the investigator’s residence, though occasional longer travel and overnight stays may be required; overnight stays are covered by the company. Most cases begin at 6:00 a.m., and workdays typically vary from 3 to 12 hours depending on activity. Weekends and holidays are common workdays. The role often involves long periods alone in a vehicle, in varying weather conditions, while remaining alert and ready to use videography equipment. A background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable state law and regulations. Ethos Risk Services is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of the characteristics listed in the posting.
