About The Position

Nscale is seeking a US-based investigator to handle SpeakUp reports and compliance investigations across its US offices and data centre sites. The investigator will manage cases from intake through outcome reporting, applying US legal requirements and Nscale’s global Investigation Standards. This person will serve as a local point of contact for Legal, People, and site leadership on sensitive matters and help shape the investigations programme as Nscale’s US operations grow. The role leads investigations into misconduct and compliance concerns, including planning investigations, interviewing reporters, witnesses, and subjects, and gathering and analysing documents and data. It requires close collaboration with Legal counsel on privilege and evidence preservation, including delivering Upjohn warnings when directed. The investigator produces fact-based outcome reports and recommendations, escalates matters when needed, recommends and tracks remediation, performs post-closure reporter wellness checks, and maintains complete, audit-ready case records. The investigator also delivers speak-up and investigations training, identifies improvements to processes and tools, and may support the wider Global Compliance & Ethics programme through training, awareness campaigns, programme reviews, risk assessments, compliance projects, monitoring, metrics, and reporting. The position is hybrid, with self-led remote work while maintaining connection with the global team.
