About The Position

As a Distribution Center Team Leader, you’ll be part of our growing team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to manually load and unload materials, stack and wrap pallets, sort materials, and perform general labor tasks to support warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also get to: Assist supervisors with the schedule and issuing of work assignments. Conduct team meetings daily to delegate tasks and announce daily goals Ability to train others and provide guidance Strong oral and written communication skills Identify problems in the warehouse inventory, conduct research to determine cause of problem while recommending next steps and necessary corrective actions Perform cycle counts on high dollar discrepancies, while monitoring and reconciling unknown inventory Assist team members in the areas of trouble shooting, research, and adjustments to correct locations / on-hand inventory balances Helps to develop procedures for the effective movement of inventory in the warehouse, while complying with all work instructions as determined by ISO standards. Communicates with wave planning concerning results of cycle counts, product information, and the movement of product if deemed necessary Assists in the returning of product to plant/vendor or scrapping Disposes of damaged product in accordance to Company Policy Must be able to safely operate PIV’s utilized within the department This position requires frequent lifting, standing for long periods of time, and walking long distances

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with JDA Warehouse Management System and Exacta, or similar WMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods as required by the department.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role strongly preferred.
