About The Position

The Materials & Inventory Leader is responsible for leading a high-performing team while ensuring effective inventory control and materials flow to support production and customer commitments. This role drives continuous improvement, promotes a strong safety and ethical culture, and collaborates cross-functionally to align supply chain activities. Using ERP data and inventory systems, the incumbent forecasts demand, optimizes inventory levels, and implements controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and loss prevention.

Requirements

Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across the organization.
Leadership skills to coach, develop and supervise staff to align with the strategic vision for the department.
Technical expertise and problem solving.
Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite and other software.

Nice To Haves

Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, Supply Chain Warehousing) preferred.
Supervisor experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.

Forecast customer demand and optimize inventory levels.
Implement control measures to prevent loss, theft, and obsolescence.
Understand technical inventory control systems.
Analyze ERP data to influence inventory optimization, inventory control and to inform inventory management strategy.
