Warehouse - Inventory Specialist
About The Position
Paxon Fulfillment is hiring an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for its Avondale, Arizona location. The role reports to the Operations Supervisor and is responsible for managing and verifying inventory levels through regular physical counts and reconciliation of inventory data. The specialist must be technologically literate to maintain accurate inventory-management-system data and physical inventory records. The position requires substantial inventory and cycle-counting experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel. The role involves auditing warehouse inventory, applying pick-compliance procedures, checking outbound-order quality, and working with warehouse location systems and Warehouse Management Systems. The specialist investigates inventory discrepancies, performs weekly cycle counts, maintains inventory accuracy, kits products, and helps set up and organize warehouse staging areas. The role also involves operating and maneuvering an Order Selector and lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of verified inventory experience, including heavy inventory and cycle-counting experience.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and formulas.
- Knowledge of warehouse inventory auditing, pick-compliance procedures, outbound-order quality control, warehouse location systems, and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Basic mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction, and division.
- Ability to maintain inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies through troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in writing and speech with a diverse population.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent suitable inventory experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience driving an Order Selector.
- Familiarity with barcode technology and equipment.
- Inventory-control experience specializing in warehousing and logistics.
Responsibilities
