About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is a first-shift contract role responsible for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in inbound logistics operations. The role manages purchase order verification, resolves discrepancies, and maintains inventory integrity within the warehouse management system. The specialist assigns daily workload, supports productivity, and monitors key performance indicators including accuracy, turnaround time, and discrepancy rates. The position involves working in a warehouse environment with changing temperatures and noise from conveyors and forklifts, and requires physical activity including standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products.

Requirements

• Comfort working in a warehouse environment with weather-related temperature changes and noise from conveyors and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming shipments against approved purchase orders and packing slips.
• Assign daily workload and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Ensure received items are properly labeled, tagged, and stored.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counts and audits.
• Monitor KPIs such as accuracy, turnaround time, and discrepancy rates.
• Resolve discrepancies and maintain inventory integrity within the warehouse management system.
