About The Position

H&K Equipment is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager with warehouse experience to work in the Evansville, Indiana area. The role requires working with limited supervision and the ability to work, think, and operate independently. The Inventory Manager oversees inventory systems and records, purchasing and supplier coordination, warehouse inventory practices, compliance and audits, reporting, process improvements, and team training.

Responsibilities

Ensure the inventory system is properly configured and optimized for efficient operation.
Use the inventory system to manage inventory accuracy, track new orders and shipments, resolve discrepancies, make adjustments, and conduct physical counts.
Generate purchase orders and track usage rates to maintain optimal inventory levels and lead times.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with the warehouse team on proper inventory receiving, storage, and distribution.
Assign and track warehouse storage locations to support best practices.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Prepare for and support internal and external audits of inventory records and processes.
Maintain accurate inventory-system documentation and records for audit purposes.
Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
Provide timely inventory status updates to management and other stakeholders.
Develop and present recommendations for improving inventory management processes.
Train and support the team in using the inventory system and applying inventory management best practices.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in inventory management technology.
