Requirements

  • Has 2-3 years of relevant technical / commercial experience

  • Preference for a base knowledge of USTG Supply Chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review Planners / Procuris for all item types and indicate which items to order and how many.
  • Review normal use items and make recommendations on which items are candidates for potential blanket orders
  • Reviews items to ensure min/max levels are appropriate for the usage and storage requirements
  • Reviews lead times to ensure they are consistent with recent deliveries to avoid delays on other orders with same or similar items
  • Looks for ways to optimize inventory through increasing purchase size to reducing slow and excess inventory balancing company goals with customer service levels.
  • Contact sites / customer as needed
  • Evaluate and monitor inventory turnover per site to reduce on hand inventory investment
  • Perform and audit inventory optimization tasks
  • Assist with special projects, as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Attend buyer’s meetings for feedback on vendor issues
  • Attend weekly 5-minute meeting held by Supervisor for department information
  • Attend customer facing inventory reviews as requested
  • Supervisor or Lead may assign special projects
