Inventory Maintenance Specialist - Kailua-Kona
About The Position
HPM Building Supply is seeking a full-time Inventory Maintenance Specialist in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Working with the Inventory Maintenance team in a fast-paced environment, this person helps ensure inventory and merchandise are handled properly, products are in stock, and items are in their designated locations to support an over-the-top customer experience. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. HPM Building Supply is a local, 100% employee-owned company serving Hawai‘i’s home improvement market and building industry. It operates retail stores, building supply and lumber yards, Home Design Centers, roofing and manufacturing facilities, corporate offices, and a U.S. West Coast Consolidation Facility across 18 locations in Hawai‘i and Washington state. HPM is also the parent company of Truss Systems by HPM and HPM Tech.
Requirements
- Previous inventory or retail experience is desired.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become forklift certified.
Nice To Haves
- Previous merchandising experience is helpful.
- Inventory Management Software proficiency is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Inventory Maintenance team to ensure proper handling of inventory and merchandise.
- Help ensure products are in stock and in their designated locations.
- Support a high-quality customer experience in a fast-paced work environment.
