About The Position

The Inventory Health Analyst Lead is responsible for ensuring that all items are performing to their maximum potential. This role serves as the central connective function between inventory data and cross-departmental execution, translating analytical insight into actionable strategies carried out with the e-commerce, advertising, returns, and pricing teams. The successful candidate brings a proactive, data-driven mindset and the ability to identify both risk and opportunity.

Requirements

  • Advanced computer skills using MS Office, with strong Excel skills; experience with an ERP system (NetSuite strongly preferred)
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data
  • Proven ability to turn data into clear recommendations and influence cross-functional partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Monitor sell-through rates and weeks-of-supply (WOS) metrics
  • Develop and recommend recovery strategies for aged inventory, including promotional markdowns, vendor returns, and write-offs, in partnership with the advertising and pricing teams
  • Track the effectiveness of actions taken and report on recovery rates
  • Build and maintain a vendor performance scorecard tracking on-time delivery, lead-time accuracy, order and quality issues, and cost competitiveness
  • Conduct margin analysis by vendor to identify which supplier relationships drive, or dilute, overall profitability
  • Flag vendor dependencies and single-source risks that expose the business to supply chain disruption, and recommend vendor consolidation, renegotiation, or replacement
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of vendor and pricing changes on inventory health over time
  • Identify opportunities across the catalog to improve inventory turns, margin, and sell-through, and translate them into actionable plans
  • Partner with the advertising, pricing, returns, and e-commerce teams to execute inventory recommendations, since this role does not act in isolation
  • Create and deliver regular inventory health reporting for the leadership team, with clear summaries, actionable takeaways, and recommended next steps
  • Track and present progress against key inventory KPIs, including inventory turn, GMROI, aged inventory percentage, stockout and overstock rates, and sell-through by category and vendor
  • Lead one direct report, directing research and data work that supports catalog integrity and vendor-gap initiatives
