About The Position

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records within a manufacturing warehouse through inventory control practices, cycle counting, auditing, and SAP transaction management. The role supports material accuracy and production needs while helping minimize inventory discrepancies. It also works with warehouse and cross-functional teams to maintain material availability, improve inventory processes, and ensure accurate system records and audit documentation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of inventory control experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Strong hands-on experience using SAP for inventory management and material movements.
Proven experience with cycle counting and inventory auditing.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments.
Understanding of FIFO/FEFO inventory practices.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods.
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts; investigate and resolve variances.
Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure inventory movements are properly executed and documented.
Execute inventory-related SAP transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
Ensure SAP data accuracy aligns with physical inventory and support reconciliations between SAP records and physical counts.
Partner with IT, Finance, and Supply Chain on SAP-related inventory improvements.
Support internal and external inventory audits.
Ensure compliance with company inventory control policies and SOX requirements, if applicable, and maintain audit-ready documentation and transaction accuracy.
Work with Warehouse, Production, Procurement, and QA teams to ensure material availability.
Support process improvements related to inventory flow, storage, and accuracy.
Train warehouse team members on proper inventory handling and SAP transaction best practices.
