About The Position

FreshRealm is currently hiring an Inventory Control Team Lead who will be responsible for managing inventory, executing order and fulfillment activities within a fast-paced production plant within FreshRealm’s operations team. The position is responsible for providing employee direction, assisting supervisors in controlling and executing all processes within assigned areas. Expectations are that the ideal candidate will ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of company specifications, follows all health, safety standards and enforces the use of PPE.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills required (counting, multiplication, conversions, fractions)
  • Practical experience with ERP software required
  • Demonstrated skills with industrial powered equipment required.
  • Certification for equipment as required based on facility needs (for example, forklift, scissor lift, electric pallet jack, reach truck, etc.)
  • Ability to work flexible hours on occasion to support all shifts which may include weekends
  • Ability to tolerate short periods of exposure to freezer temperatures
  • Previous experience within a logistics and inventory warehouse environment
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and organized while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have good analytical skills and ability to follow multi-step instructions
  • Excellent customer service, troubleshooting ability, organizational and time-management skills are key
  • Strong communication skills, both written, verbal and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum of 3 year of experience in inventory and receiving
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Must be 18 or older to apply as required for machinery and/or equipment utilization

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience a plus
  • Previous experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) is a plus
  • Management experience preferred
  • Experience with warehouse (WMS), operations (OMS), and enterprise (ERP) management systems and processes a plus
  • High School Degree / GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inventory management responsibilities
  • Execution of fulfillment activities including receiving, putting away, picking, and shipping.
  • Achieve key metrics across inventory and fulfillment
  • Maintain real-time and accurate inventory records, visibility, notify leadership of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
  • Maintain and communicate inventory metrics on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Controls daily operations and monitors workflow within assigned areas
  • Conducts investigation of discrepancies and inconsistencies in distribution processes
  • Assists with identifying departmental process improvements
  • Responsible for reporting daily performance metrics on employees, assuring accuracy within processes
  • Responsible for employee training within assigned areas on SOP’s, and their assigned warehouse functions
  • Ensures safety and security processes are followed
  • Ensures all distribution related documentation is maintained in an orderly and accessible manner
  • May be required to step in and assist with warehouse, forklift or clerk duties
  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP
  • Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned
  • Receive inbound product, ship outbound product and audit inbound & outbound movements for accuracy
