About The Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for establishing and publishing weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules. This role involves communicating and coordinating these schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily, providing analysis and statistics of audit results, and spot auditing various warehouse operations. The specialist interacts with supervisors to identify trends and areas for corrective action, and must manage emails in a timely fashion. The position requires strong verbal and written communication, excellent audit skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and a cooperative, team-oriented approach. Strong skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications, working knowledge of inventory quality control requirements, and industry standards are essential. The role demands high organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and publishes weekly inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules
  • Communicates and coordinates inventory count, spot audit, and quality audit schedules with Warehouse Supervisors daily
  • Provides daily written and electronic copies of analysis and statistics of inventory count and quality audits results
  • Spot audit unloading, receiving, checking, locating, packing, and shipping personnel for all accounts and documents the results in an Excel spreadsheet
  • Interacts with supervisors to help identify trends, processes, or people that require corrective action
  • Read and respond to all emails in a timely fashion
  • Perform other duties as assigned
