About The Position

Johnny Janosik is seeking a motivated Inventory Control Specialist for their warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be a reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy across all company locations, including showrooms and warehouses. The position involves product movement, accurate identification and tagging of furniture, and ensuring the integrity of the inventory system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workflow on a daily basis.
  • Effective communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Strong Math Skills.
  • Computer experience.
  • Customer Focus, Dependability, Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Time Management, Reporting Skills, Inventory Control, Documentation Skills, Equipment Maintenance.
  • Must be able to use hand tools effectively.
  • Must be able to work at heights of up to 40 feet.
  • Must be able to pass a Lift Operator course.
  • Ability to lift heavy furniture up to 500 lbs. safely and with assistance.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and maneuver effectively around warehouse and warehouse property.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, reach, and/or twist frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and tagging opened and unopened product to maintain inventory accuracy and correct variances.
  • Reporting quality variances and patterns of error to warehouse management.
  • Checking and responding to emails for requests such as verifying returned product, removing serial numbers from invoices, and addressing mis-tagged or missing product.
  • Using a handheld scanner and computer system to process merchandise.
  • Operating and maintaining equipment safely and cleanly.
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Conducting operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Complying with OSHA and MSDA standards.
  • Assisting managers during truck check-in at the Return Lane for inventory and account accuracy.
  • Communicating with various departments (Customer Care, Management, Floor Crew, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, CPU) regarding inventory accountability.
  • Running daily, weekly, and monthly reports to reconcile and identify variances.
  • Participating in cycle counting of all products in showrooms and warehouses.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
