The Inventory Control Specialist monitors open line station stockroom and aircraft fly-away-kit (FAK) requirements using the inventory database. This role coordinates with repairs and purchasing departments, as well as various stockrooms, to maintain required inventory levels. The specialist reviews daily AOG purchases and parts usage to assess inventory adjustments, attends meetings with Materials Management to discuss inventory setup in domestic and international airports, and collects, reviews, and files monthly Station Shelf-Life Reports. Additionally, the role involves reviewing parts installations and removals for database accuracy, drafting reports on inventory usage, cost, and history, and resolving inventory discrepancies through research. Collaboration with Engineering ensures accurate inventory identification, and daily cycle counts are generated to audit physical inventory and reconcile discrepancies. The position focuses on problem-solving to ensure inventory availability and accuracy, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency. Other duties may be assigned by the Inventory Control Supervisor.
