Inventory Control & Planning Coordinator

Construction Forms•Port Washington, WI

About The Position

The Inventory Control & Planning Coordinator supports inventory accuracy and daily production readiness through hands-on cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, and defined planning-support activities. The role connects accurate inventory and disciplined ERP transactions with timely shop-floor execution. The coordinator performs daily ERP-generated cycle counts across raw material, work-in-process, purchased components, and finished goods; investigates variances; and supports inventory audits and accuracy reporting. Planning support includes running assigned planner workbenches, firming approved jobs, preparing complete job packets, releasing work within established rules and approval limits, and delivering packets to the appropriate shop-floor areas. The position also supports dispatch lists, routine job-status follow-up, shortage identification, schedule maintenance, and ERP data entry. Issues such as capacity conflicts, material shortages, documentation problems, and schedule exceptions are escalated rather than addressed through unsupported priority changes. The role works with Planning, Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, Engineering, and Material Handling. It involves safely operating or becoming qualified to operate forklifts and material-handling equipment, maintaining an organized work area, and following safety, quality, and ERP transaction procedures. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with flexibility for a second-shift schedule. The role is a four-day, 10-hour split shift to accommodate evening planner runs.
