About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for organizing and maintaining the stored inventory in a neat and orderly manner, keeping the stock at a level that will assure adequate supplies are available at all times.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent certification.
  • Missouri Class “E” Chauffer’s Driver’s License.
  • One or more years of experience in inventory management is preferred.
  • Demonstrates support for organizational and departmental mission.
  • Supports and demonstrates knowledge of the Strategic Plan and the Hospital Key Initiatives.
  • Fosters and promotes teamwork within department and the organization as a whole.
  • Works to resolves conflicts constructively and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and simply with every customer and co worker.

Responsibilities

  • Receives incoming freight and maintains all pertinent documentation of the receiving.
  • Alerts Purchasing Assistants Buyers to stock outs and materials for reorder.
  • Rotates stock.
  • Delivers supplies to Hospital Departments, and entering in charges for Nursing Departments.
  • Fills requisitions for stock items.
  • Assists with the Semi-Annual Physical Inventory process.
  • Responds to calls to deliver supplies in emergency situations.
  • Works with Nursing and other departments to determine proper levels of supplies needed.
  • Serves as backup hospital courier and mail room clerk as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
