About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk II coordinates the movement of materials through the production cycle. The role includes receiving incoming materials, checking packing slips against shipments, breaking down and staging shipments, relabeling materials, transferring finished goods to stock, entering information into databases, and maintaining accurate physical and system inventory. Inventory maintenance includes cycle counts and recording inventory movement within the warehouse.

Requirements

Three to five years of experience in inventory control.
Forklift certification.
Medium proficiency with Cargowise.
Medium proficiency with AS400.
Medium proficiency with warehouse management systems.
Medium proficiency with Xcelerator.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma (preferred).
Zero to three years of experience in freight forwarding and/or third-party logistics (preferred).

Responsibilities

Perform physical and clerical tasks associated with shipping and receiving supplies and finished products.
Check, verify, and audit materials, and enter data into a database to confirm that received materials are correct, expected, and not damaged or defective.
Verify shipping records and ensure packaging and labeling are correct.
Assist with receiving vendor materials through company databases.
Maintain product inventory accuracy.
Unpack received materials and check shipments for damage and accuracy.
Complete daily cycle counts for required clients.
Move or consolidate inventory to clear pallet positions for full-pallet stock.
Return items from mis-picks to stock.
Move heavy materials and items throughout the warehouse using a forklift.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and standards.
