About The Position

The Inventory Control Assistant oversees perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses and maintains a computer-based inventory management system and stock master, Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) levels, and daily cycle-count activity. The role works with clinical leaders, physicians, and department staff to ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available for procedures. The position is part-time, scheduled for 24 hours per week across three flexible 8-hour day shifts, with no weekends or holidays.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or post-secondary education preferred.
• Previous inventory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses and maintain the inventory management system, stock master, PAR levels, and daily cycle-count activity.
• Work with clinical leaders, physicians, and department staff to ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available for procedures.
• Work with the procure-to-pay team to resolve item backorders and inform end-users about product availability delays.
• Assist with coordinating new product trials with physicians, clinical staff, and vendor representatives, as well as product conversions and standardization initiatives.
• Review requests to add items to assigned locations and communicate whether requests are accepted or denied.
• Oversee product recalls in assigned warehouses and promptly provide recalled-item information to purchasing.
• Where required, achieve assigned inventory turnover rates and customer fill rates of 99 percent related to perpetual inventory.
• Assist with outside audits and other year-end duties to support a successful fiscal-year-end inventory of assigned warehouses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
