About The Position

The Inventory Auditor verifies merchandise and cash at Company stores through physical counts using a handheld computer. The role also checks pricing and merchandise dates, verifies cash and other financial items, checks gasoline inventory, and conducts surveys to assess compliance with operational and financial procedures. The employee is expected to work safely, independently with little supervision, and effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

The position involves regular sitting, talking, and/or hearing; frequent handling or grasping; and occasional standing, walking, and reaching with both hands and arms. Employees routinely lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. The work environment usually has moderate noise and includes natural and fluorescent lighting. Requirements

• At least 1 year of inventory auditing or retail experience in a convenience store environment.
• Valid driver’s license with no major offenses.
• Current liability car insurance.
• Ability to routinely lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical counts of merchandise and cash at Company stores using a handheld computer.
• Notify store managers of incorrect prices and remove out-of-code merchandise.
• Count and record cash, checks, and food stamps in registers, TACC tubes, and safes.
• Verify money orders, lottery ticket inventory, and bank deposits.
• Verify gasoline inventory by sticking tanks and checking for water.
• Conduct surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures.
• Follow safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work independently with little supervision and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
